Fluids Online Recognition Identification and Determination Analyzer

The FLORIDA device adapts the well-known X-ray fluorescence for online process control and pollution monitoring. The ability of the device to continuously analyze the elemental composition of a fluid stream allows the use in various applications in the mining industry and the preparation plants, as well as for environmental monitoring.

FLORIDA 400 is designed for the use in industrial and preparation plants, for example for the monitoring of flotation circuits, while FLORIDA WT is designed to monitor the effluent water of industrial plants as well as the general water quality monitoring for heavy metals and toxic elements.

Products FLORIDA WT

Florida WT is used to monitor the levels of trace elements like heavy metals or other elemental pollutants in fresh or waste water.

The concentration of multiple elements can be monitored. If one of the measured concentrations exceeds the limit an alarm will be triggered to start countermeasures.

FLORIDA WT is an online elemental analyzer based on x-ray fluorescence which detects even small amounts of hazardous elements like heavy metals in fresh or waste water.

Therefore it can be ideally utilized in waste water treatment plants or drink water plants in order to survey the water quality.

All concentrations are stored in a database so that a change of concentration can be monitored; this allows to take measures in time.

FLORIDA 400

FLORIDA 400 is an online X-ray fluorescence device for the elemental analysis of slurries or suspensions without sampling. It can be mounted directly on pipes and analyzes continuously the elemental composition (Z>20) of the material. In many cases the measurement can be performed through PE or PP pipes. However, different window solutions are available if the measurement has to be performed on steel pipes.

FLORIDA 400

The device is used as a tool for process control. It offers immediate information (24/7) about the process without time consuming sampling and analysis in the laboratory. However, it does not replace the laboratory but serves as a process tool for feed forward or feed back control.

The device is equipped with a rugged X-ray tube and a energy dispersive detector in a stainless steel box. The information acquired with the sensor is processed with the software suite MONACO by an industrial PC which can be linked to the control system by standard interfaces.
